We consider Pointers to be a happy long lived breed in most cases. We have all witnessed Pointers romping around like puppies well into their 'golden years' We put this down to the fabulous life they lead. We know its not always the case, and the law of averages mean we lose a few far too early, but on the whole Pointers are very hardy.
